Galaxy S23 is now available! You do not, however, have to throw away your Galaxy S22 or Galaxy S21. You’ll want to give it a decent case now more than ever to protect it. You must make sure that the case you purchase is made for the Galaxy S21 model you have because it comes in three sizes. The S21 Ultra has the largest screen (6.8 inches) and the heaviest build, therefore cases with built-in kickstands are a fantastic choice for this big boy. At 6.7 inches, the S21 Plus is smaller than the S21, which is even more compact at 6.2 inches. Whatever model you own, we’ve compiled a list of the top S21, S21, and S21 Ultra case alternatives to show you what’s available to safeguard your investment.
Please take note that some of the advice for Samsung Galaxy S21 series covers is based on my use of roughly identical models with previous Galaxy smartphones as well as iPhones. The mentioned price is the line’s beginning cost when numerous products are displayed. Ensure that the case and tempered glass you choose are compatible with the precise model of your S21, whether it be Ultra, Plus, or normal.
Speck cases
Tough but relatively slim S21 case
Leading case manufacturer Speck offers several protective case alternatives for the Galaxy S21, including the Presidio Perfect-Clear, Presidio Perfect-Mist, Presidio Perfect-Clear Ombre, and Presidio2 Grip (seen above, left to right). Additionally, they offer cases for the Samsung Galaxy S7, S8, S9, and S10 as well as the Galaxy S20 Plus, S20 Ultra, Galaxy Z Flip variants, and Galaxy Z Fold.
Samsung Leather Cover
Best leather case
Samsung’s leather cover, which comes in black or brown, provides a toughened protective layer around the cameras while maintaining a pleasant leather feel throughout. You can put this on your phone and have it feel amazing without giving up anything because leather doesn’t interfere with wireless charging or anything else. The phone is not made bulkier by the soft leather case, which also provides decent shock absorption.
Samsung Clear Standing Cover
Best Samsung-branded S21 case
The Clear Standing Cover from Samsung is a simple but durable clear case with a built-in kickstand. The kickstand, which is larger than Spigen’s built-in kickstand, may be used to hold your phone upright horizontally or vertically. I often use this example.
Clckr case
S21 case with built-in stand and grip strap
The Clckr cases, which include a built-in stand and grip strap that unfolds and clicks into place on the back of your phone, have recently won my favor. Clckr also sells a stand-strap accessory that you can attach to a case or the back of your phone, but the stand accessory case is preferable. There are presently only the transparent S21 and S21 Plus models available for the S21; the S21 Ultra is not yet available. However, it is possible that the range will grow over time.
OtterBox Commuter Series
Best slim OtterBox S21 case
All Galaxy S21 models can use the company’s extremely durable Defender series case, although most customers prefer something more streamlined. I prefer the Symmetry series cases because of how small and protective they are thanks to their beveled edges. However, because of the grips on the back and sides and the raised edges on the front that should help protect your screen, I’ve grown to prefer the more protective Commuter Series. Your screen is protected from scratches by the raised bezel, and the camera module also receives this treatment.
ArmadilloTek Vanguard Case
Best rugged case
There are times when you need a stronger case than the norm, and while many products claim to be “rugged,” very few are ready to support that claim. The Vanguard line from ArmadilloTek is MIL STD 810G certified, which means that because to its multilayer construction, it can withstand fall of up to 20 feet and provides excellent camera lens protection. This case still allows wireless charging despite those layers between the phone and the charger, one of which has a pull-out stand.
ESR Kickstand case
Value kickstand S21 case
I think having an inbuilt kickstand is a fantastic feature, especially with the two larger Galaxy S21 variants, and the ESR kickstand case is about as inexpensive as it gets.
Cyrill cases
Affordably stylish
Spigen’s subsidiary brand Cyrill offers cases that typically cost less than $20. While Cyrill’s selection for the Galaxy S21 isn’t quite as extensive as it is for the iPhone 12, it does offer several protective clear cases with floral patterns (shown on the right in the picture) and the Brick Matte Finish Bumper case, which has a soft-to-the-touch finish (shown on the left). The camera lenses are given some additional protection by a raised frame on the back of the device. Additionally, the case’s corners have raised lips.
Otterbox Strada Via
Slim folio S21 case
Some users prefer full-screen protection, therefore they choose a folio case with a screen-covering cover. Otterbox has released a new folio case called the Strada Via that has a soft-to-the-touch feel and closes using a set of magnets. Additionally, it has a place for one or more credit cards. The only thing about it that I didn’t like is that it can’t be used as a kickstand for watching videos.
Lifeproof Wake
Eco-friendly S21 case
The Wake case from Lifeproof is constructed from recovered ocean plastic. Although it has a nice design and 6-foot drop protection, I wouldn’t describe it as being particularly tough. The drop-protection ratings for some of the cases on this list are higher.
